My favourite impressions of South America are as diverse as the continent itself. They are primarily nature-based (no big surprise here) not because I didn’t visit any cities but because I simply did not like the cities – at least not nearly as much as I enjoyed being outdoors in the deserts of Uyuní and Atacama, discovering hidden (well, “hidden”) waterfalls in Iguazú or getting up, close and personal with the magnificent Moai on Easter Island.
