Much had I heard of the famous azulejos of Portugal, still they merely sounded like colourful tiles to me. And actually, that’s exactly what they are. Minus the “merely”.However, the beauty of their composition on random house walls was instantly intriguing and kept mesmerizing me for the whole two weeks of our trip last September.
